I will Never Forget…

I remember coming back from music class in second grade and seeing all the teachers in the front office crying. At the time, I had no idea what they were crying about. My first initial thoughts were that they were crying over something sad that wouldn’t affect any of us. However, that was just the opposite.
When we came into the classroom my teacher sat us down on the carpet and told us the truth. All I remember thinking was I that I couldn’t wait until I got home to make sure that everything was allright. When I got home my parents reassured me that we were safe. They made sure that I didn’t see the video of the plane crashing into the twin towers to often, so that I wouldn’t get upset. The next day we took a few minutues to remember what happenend on 9/11.
After six years, my thoughts about 9/11 have changed a little. When I was in second grade I really didn’t understand that much about what happened on that tragic day. Now that my understanding on 9/11 has improved I see 9/11 from a different view. I used to think that the terrorists were bad people. However, now I see that the terrorists aren’t bad people, but they are severly misguided.
